About the planner
How does the planner know what fits?
It uses square-foot-gardening spacing (plants per square foot) for each crop. Leafy greens and roots pack 9–16 per square; bigger plants like tomatoes and squash take a whole square or more.
Why does my location matter?
Your zone filters which plants will actually grow where you live — the planner only suggests crops that survive your hardiness zone and matches them to your frost dates.
Is the yield estimate accurate?
It's a rough planning number based on typical home-garden yields and days-to-harvest — real yields vary with soil, weather, and care.
